TONI DIODATI
Fine Artist
Tony Diodati was born on February 5, 1955.
He grew up in Windsor Ontario, and currently resides year round in SpringBrook PEl., where he has had a seasonal art gallery for 28 years. In April of 2024 he and his partner, Hugh Jones moved from Thorndale, Ontario where they lived on a farm for over 40 years.
The art gallery in Prince Edward Island, is located on his waterfront property, just opposite the French River Cannery and New London Bay. This "gallery with a view", (which used to be a Lobster Cookhouse for the fishermen), houses all of Tony's original paintings and giclee prints.
Largely self taught, Tony focuses mainly on acrylics, which gives his work the distinct look it has. Tony's technique is largely based on layering thinner layers of paint until the desired effect is obtained.
With a profound love for God's creations, Tony seeks the peaceful side of life and strives to keep this the focus of his work; at the same time remaining unique in style and presentation.
One of his images appeared in the movie "Strip Tease", in Demi Moore's living room.
The direction of Tony's work continues with a focus on Atlantic Canada. Recurring themes include pristine beaches, fishing boat, and relaxing images with wooden chairs by the sea, to name a few.
Tony feels that with continued guidance from God; the love and support from good friends and the public; the opportunities are endless.
